just a quickie doodle of a potential "core" for a big factory...kind slapped together, but with enough room in there to get around and repair stuff.

also, the center "ring" structure is designed to marionette around and gyrate, in order to close information distances, and access more info quickly...

I don't care what media you used, honestly it's not apparent wather or not it's pencil or ink... color it with those lines still intact. They're gorgiouse

Some perspective issues methinks...the object dosent quite look like its on the ground..not sure why...the ring dosent look like it could spin around.

sammy - yah...gotcha...done some color work on it, but the more i work it, the more i like the line-drawing, hence, the sketches and doodles area. sometimes, a drawing should just be left alone...

but on date note

pencil soldier - i hear ya...it's the curse of the ellipse, that's all...didnt' draw it with any guides or templates, just freehand, so that base does mess with the eyes a bit, but i think it holds up in the end...

if you made the elipse of the base wider it would fit the perspective.. other than that I'd say attach hydrolics from some of the cylenders..

if you're gonna redo it I suggest, as far a design goes, to have a single device that controlls the pitch of one elipse and another elipse inside that that controlls the other pitch. kinda like those devices that spin peeps arounnd :D

no real crits looks great, but to tell you the truth, floating spheres is kind of old, maybe make it cube, or no wait one of those changing cubes that can like spike out and form circles, you know like the screen saver, that would be cool, anyways really like it hope you update soon.
