a few doodles

some quickie guns. some drawn from memory and some from imagination.

a mech thing

mech support vehicle, mech being built in the background. these trucks carry support gear like power supplies and spare parts, etc. the little guys to the left are hosing down spilt fuel from the retractable fueling pipes. the truck's so big because it has to be of similar proportion to the large mechs in order to carry the large supporting equipment

this is some really great stuff. the bottom right gun is really cool. seems like you know your weapon/mech construction really well. post more!

nice gun studies...
i think you're armor suit has too many greeble which make it confusing. try and simplify if more so it's more understandable. i don't understand what the pistons on the front of the boot are for. they'd make more sense if they were on back in the form of a mech achilles tendon. it's a great start. try this out, take a piece of tracing paper and put it over the suit. then do another drawing of it and just use the main shapes and a few main details. do many different iterations of it and figure out what works best for you. try not too put in as many panels and lines to break up the drawing. also, perhaps a different background would go better with the piece.
i think the semi design is great also, but once again there's too much going on. try the tracing paper thing again and simplify it down to main shapes. see which you think looks better.

I like those a lot. Why don't you try to add some perspective to them since you are able as proved in the last drawing. And a second point of crit. would be the messiness of the drawings...they would improve if you would try to keep them clear...now the shadings and the lineworks fade at some areas...might be the quality of the scans either. But what I try to say is, that you could try either to seperate the linework from the shadings or do not use any linework and aim a more realistic way of render...Well, oh so much critics...BTW, did I mentioned I like the LOD a lot?

thanks for the crits. I'm making a new drawing and I plan on using prisma color markers for shading and doing more subtle detail work so that it looks cleaner.

good job on the mechs foot... i looks like it could have been a hard time waiting to happen... but you did a very good job on the perspective
