I.e. a complex of cyber-domes with some (incredible) techno-eggs on its top. Correct?

Grr my sketch ended horribly, but it's fun, that it reminds me one my older work for contest by company making condoms, topic was... something labout protection, so I tried some Warcraft inspiration and ended with this, which seems right work for this DSG :-)

I think that I'll try to sketch something on paper and put it into computer.

Here we go...I think...

Went with various domes jutting from egg shaped architecture.

Lingmerth: I love your design! The colors you used make it seem like such a happy place :) I love how you chose to tilt the angle to the side with the picture aswell! makes it alot more interesting!

Aiks. i got the idea incorrectly after i finished the whole piece. Sorry.

I designed all the building in egg-shape instead of popping out eggs above the buildings.

Hope it is a good start for environmental piece.

Anyway, here is mine. Enjoy~!:sungod:

An exercise in speedpainting with Painter...

I like your piece alot Dinodog Jr great. The only thing is that I'm not sure where the light is coming from in your piece. it looks like upper right for most of the objects but some then make it seem like its coming from the upper left

thx EBrown. The light source suppose to coming from the upper right.
I put some fog into the scene to bring up some dramatic feel. I lost my idea how to "pop up" the fog.
It seems confused to reader. Sorry for that.

I seldom painting a scene. It gets me addictive now..haha.

You got a lot of awesome brushes pushing around.
Really hope to understand the logic flow in painter program. Its an alien program to me still.

muleskinner- I swear I did not look at this thread before doing my pic! But I think yours came out much better anyway, the colors and design are very good.

jonish- Hah, I just saw the filename for your pic. Cute

revenebo- great abstract picture!

hamsta- yer sauce is not teh weak.

Okay, I don't particularly think this is a great design (as compared to muleskinner's) but I can say that it only took 90 minutes this time! Used some custom brushes they had at work, didn't know they could look this nice. (my own brushes look like **** haha)

It's my policy to never look at the other entries before finishing my own, but I guess things like this will happen anyway...

Went a bit off brief, but this is the first time I've used PS for this kind of work rather than Painter. 30 minutes.

Found this one really difficult! I think I had four separate attempts to create an image that I thought fulfilled the description and had some sort of aesthetic merit/interest.

silentbrain What are you talking about. Your pic doesn't look like anything else in this thread, IMO. (I can see some influence from elsewhere, but that's a different story)
Loving the contrast between the warm lights from the dome compared to the cools in the rest of the pic.
Not much to crit really... maybe the brushes are a little repetative? then again, maybe not
I'll have to look into dem kustum brushes eventually :p

Wow.. thanks for the positive words silentbrain! I didn't even think to compare ours until you mentioned it, :). Very dynamic scene you have going on. So many excellent entries here at the DSG. This place is the inspiration and fuel that keeps me pluggin away. Awesome posts people! Gotta keep at it..
