My first time posting here, wish I had something better to introduce myself. Posted on the poo as well but I need as much c&c as I can get and I hate begging for it.

Well, I may be wrong, because I'm very new to color, but it seems to me that the overall picture is too "cool." There aren't enough warm tones to balance it, leaving the whole thing looking a little washed out. (The browns just aren't cutting it for me.)
The anatomy is good though and there's a lot of volume there. Definately not flat. Although looking closer, the bottom of her nose might be off just a tad...but I head to search go find it.
Anyways, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chim in. :)

Well the colors Zorg used were more warm than cool. Brown and tannish colors would still be considered warm. You just need some more definition in the shapes. Some more values, more contrast between the background and her hair/face. This feels more like a WIP than a finished product to me [although it's a better painting job than I could do].
I would just say to work on defining her neck structure, hair, clothes, chair, and background a bit more. Hope this helped. BTW, painting looks good so far, keep it up :)

Yeah, I thought the browns were a warm color..but all that cool color (blue, purple, etc...) on the left side of the picture just sort of puts me off.
Oh well.

I am looking at the picture from a different monitor now and I think I know what you are talking about fukifino. The blue is supposed to be the glow from a monitor (used a webcam pic as a reference) but perhaps I could have been more subtle.
hyphen somebody else told me about the nose issue so I'm working on that already
thanks again guys
