its supposed to look sort of warped, and resemble the sort of posters some rock bands post up to announce concerts.
experimental/pop art?

I would leave out the arrow and the text (text is 'sorry' really ugly)...The figure and the pose I like. But the background is screaming for attention, wich makes your girl dissapear a bit into the background.
As for the textures, it s a good choice too use them. But the two horizontal lines give the image a bit of an amateuristic feeling...
I like the drawing really, but this would be much better in blanck and whites imo..
I can see that you have the skills to make amazing pictures, but you have to see beyond the somewhat chaotic colors, textures and little add-ons (arrow and the ugly text)
Thanks for the post :> and happy Valentine

i know all of that is typically bad in art, but also (as strange as it may sound) exactly what i was going for. this was supposed to have the traits of "rock band fliers" and indeed, it sounds like that succeeded. why i chose to make art that didnt really look much like art.. well i originally made this image as a gift for a person with "chaotic taste."
though i also feel i do too much experimenting and not enough "nice clean art" and will have to resolve that. it is kind of useless to work for a skill but never use it for anything serious.
here are the lines, mostly black and white, and flat color figure.

I understand what you were going for here, Iyami, and I think you succeeded beautifully. I wouldn't change anything.

I really like this style! Her face is great. Only the upperpart of the legs could be a bit longer. Nice work!

The black and white on this is very beautiful.
With the color, and this is just my opinion, as you tried to add more interest, you took away interest from the figure. There should be a unity between what the figure is doing and what the rest of the picture is doing. The background should echo the figure in some way.
But, still, this is a very cute piece.

hello iyami! altho i must agree it feels a bit too chaotic with the colors, i love your style and the deformation you use on your characters. keep it up, i would love to see more of your work! :D

That looks very nice!
I like all 3. The only thing that I'm not particularly fond of is the text in the first one. I'm not sure if the reason why I don't like it is because it's spaced so far apart between the V'07 and With Love or if it's because of the text itself and how high up it is on the image.
But I understand that it was all part of what you were going for so it's okay. =)
I've always loved bright colors, especially ones that had pink and purple in them.
This is a beautiful piece and I could see it as a rock star poster or a CD cover for one.

i think the fold lines are quite keen! i believe you've accomplished what you were going for here for the most part. my only suggestion would to perhaps vary the colors a little? all that pink squashed together actually confuses my brain a bit.
but then again, that could just be my own problem. stupid brain.
i love your lineart and style.
