So it is concidered finished even from the AD. If you wanna see a short history of its realization, visit here:http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=117729
Thanks for all the participants in WIP, you helped a lot. And it turned out well.
Later on, when the CD is ready and announced, I will post that here too. But for the time being, it will be without logos. The pic will serve as a cd-cover and propably as a promoposter also. Hopefully t-shirts and that kinda stuff too! Yay!

Awesome piece! I really like how your eye is immediately drawn to the bolts/mace. I also love the horse's expression.
On a side note, I also like how you've managed to get the proper crits for this work without getting in trouble for posting it before you should (i.e. no logos etc). If that is an acceptable method of doing so, I will likely be doing the same with my own works, so thanks! You indirectly helped me figure out how to get necessary critiques before it's too late.

I think you shouldve udes the light from the lightning to make strong facial and arm features, other than that the peice seems to be crafted with skill.

Looking great mate. Just checked out the WIP thread, and the image came along nicely. Can't wait to see for which band it is since some of my favorite metal bands are from that country. Would be awesome is this one is for one of their albums :D

Hallå allihoppa!
Dusty - Yes, I think it was a really helpful thing to post it in teh WIP and ask for crits. I try to withhold that right when doing commissions like this one, in the end it is better for all parties. I feel this is not the cover nor the poster, but an illustration that will be used in the cover so in that sense, a different piece of art altogether. This should be an issue you just make sure they know the next time you work on something similar.
Kian, vimmel, Amir, Camian, Farsh - TY very many.
Duman - This was sketched with the AD who will be doing the booklet art and he has planned it already. I haven´t seen them yet but I have no doubt about his abilities to make it excellent. :D
John P. - To keep the figure in the shadows was a decision made already in the beginning, so I stuck to that. Even if it meant distorting the reality that much. So the lighting scheme in the picture is not really consistent, but I think it doesn´t always need to be so. But glad that you liked it.
Pencilator - Hey swedish friend! Thanks for the comment, and I am doing fine. Gratuated in the summer and now working in a mobilegame company called Universomo. Not much things wrong in life so I guess I am super. :D And how´s things there if I may ask?
Maestro Anders - He he, I am eager to see weather this one is one your favourites... If not your favorite YET, then maybe it will become one. Hold your horses and you will see.
ACRO - Well the thing is I only did the illustration for the cover (and poster). There is another guy who´s designing the booklet and the cd and all that, prepping it for print and the whole nine yards. I only caught the best part of the show. :D
Lotet - Sorry mate, can not tell quite yet. The day I can, I will.

So here´s the final cd-cover.
The album is to be released 19.3. so I`m eagerly waiting how it looks like printed. The AD took the liberty of applying some changes which in my opinion are a part of the illustration - and of which I am not too happy about - but all in all I think it worked out well.
Thanks to you all for the help!

Wow I like it very much. Real metal cover! The only mention I want to make is about logo. It looks very "Photoshop-builtin-styles-like" and it will be great if it was done in the same manner as painting. Anyway it rocks and I like the piece around horse's legs - looks like medieval oil painting. Reputation +2

Haha, I was very surprised when I saw that this is for Teräsbetoni! Your illustration is just perfect for that band and it's a great promo picture for their song in esc08. I'm not a big fan of the band but this piece of art is good!

Teräsbetoni was just selected to represent finland in eurovision song contest, so if they'll succeed there, this album cover is going to get a lot exposure as well:D

He heee!
True it is, Junthi. Teräsbetoni will be presenting Finland and I hope my illustration makes it all the way there also! Hoping the best for them, of course. On the footprints of Lordi, here we come!
Thanks for all the comments, y´all. Happy to hear my idol Mr. Palumbo likes it also. And about the logo, it is like that and there is nothing I can do about that. It doesn´t go well with the illustration style but on the other hand, it could be MUCH worse. So no complaints.
Thanks again, and on to new ventures,
Adieu!

The logo is the one element that IMO needs more work. The rest is very good.
