So last night I had a dream. An art dream; my first one ever. I was riding along on my bike with my brother, talking about going to the ConceptArt Atelier (3.5 months until I try) and I noticed the sun coming up. I looked over the rising sun and started looking at the colors it was composed of: the oranges, the purples, blues, yellows, and reds. Everything started to look cleaner and crisper; I then started to see little birds flying around me. I started to look at the texture of the wings, the shape. Everything looked like real life, but cleaner. I thought to myself, "I think I'm trying to draw too fast. I think if I take my time with art, I'll be able to get the details I want to and enjoy it at the same time!" It was amazing that I even remembered it.

After it though, I batch of one million tiny birds hatched from the sidewalk and knocked me off my bike and was swarming around me. It was funny, but that's besides the point.

Have you ever had an art epiphany in your dream?

Wierd, I actually had one last night!

I was walking =in my dream= around a compuder lab, and I saw this kid sitting with a sketchbook, I was curious so I asked him to see it. When he turned around it was me, I thought it was wierd, but I really didn't care because I just finished the part of my dream were a X-wing decapated my teacher, so I knew this was going to be a wierd one. (she was okay btw...for being a head, you know)

The pictures, were GREAT! Awesome! Pencil renders of all sorts of things, but that was the problem. the "sorts of things" wasn't what I would draw at all! I was Furious at this other me!
"you, YOU just got theese of the internet and copied them didn't you!"
Mr. Other me looked at me with a "uh, well, you know...sorry" look, and went to work on a compuder, and that is when I saw it.

He was makeing a game out of theese absolutley horrable copied ideas that have no me in them! (at this point I classified this dream as a nightmare, and I woke with a startle too)

When I woke up I looked around my room, and all of my dimley lit art supplied and one single effertless thought allmost throught itself in my head.

"You got to stop looking to make art that impresses people, and just draw you, or drawing will never mean anything to you at all than that"

Thanks for starting this thread! really interesting!

The true epiphany is when this happens in real life. It's like waking up for the first time.

Epiphanies are your inner soul (voice) slapping you upside your head.

I've had moments like these every once in a while lately during my daily routine. I'll be driving to work or something when I'll notice the beauty in the mountains in front of me or the white snow on the ground. Every time it feels like I'm making some sort of connection to the world around me and I'm progressing in my understanding of nature, and how things work.

its rather strange
