There you go.

I think this page (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=297248&d=1202356362) is your strongest.

Try not to be so scratchy with you pencil, if you have to, sketch it in with a lighter pencil, and then solidify the drawing with one that's a little darker.

Something before bed, I think I may take him further tomorrow:

if you don't mind the suggestion, start drawing the outer edges of your figures with harder, crisper lines. it may not be your style, but i think it will contribute to your feel for anatomy.

Thanks for the crits guys! Yeah, I'm definitely still learning, I'll work on "crisping" it up. I'm just hoping if I keep doing something every day I actually improve

Here's one from today... around 3 hrs I guess?

Hey, Ian! These are a little late but may be a huge help for future reference!

Hope those help, man. Try and do what the photos have done, in general, for all pieces. Capture the values and tone as rich as they truly are, bright brights, dark darks, and rich midtones. If you want to manipulate those to fit the mood of your piece, then you'll know what to do a lot easier once you understand where your colors are coming from, and how to bend them to how you like!

IanE: Thanks a lot, I'm definitely still learning, but I took your advice and I just did a study of a photo of Jordan and tried to get all the values and tones right. Always learning :)

enviros looking good, same old same old advice with learning anatomy, we all repeat ourselves to people time and time again, but it's really true.

Perhaps try drawing your figures before painting them, even oil painters start with a drawing and only people highly familiar with anatomy and proportion 'carve' out the body. You can't spend too much time learning the human body - and in fact, everything else will become easier to draw because the human body is so complex! :)

Nerahla: Thanks, I think you're right drawing the figures first would help.

Here's a few semi-recent sketches.

nice works. i like the colours. the curvature of red sonja is a bit strange, i think the lower part of the body should follow more the curve of the back.
nice characters, some need more attention on the anatomy and proportions, but that has been said before and as you said you are learning, so just keep drawing and sharing.

cheers
