Alright...intro... well im 17, like most people here have been drawing most of my life, unlike most people i have just recently started taking my art seriously. Im really looking to improve and would and critiques and advice would be greatly appreciated. Im gonna try and keep this as daily as i can so keep watching :)

All of these are from about a month ago, just ones that i liked.

Welcome! A really good start - I like the second drawing best, twisted though it is! The first drawing has some nice atmosphere but there's something slightly amiss with the proportions - the best way to practice would be to do some life drawings, and to get some anatomy books and study them. Definitely do a search for the Andrew Loomis books and maybe buy the Burne Hogarth anatomy book and Bridgman's Complete Drawing from Life.

Also, to really improve, you can't just pick the drawings you like - you need to show everything so that you acknowledge your weak points and commit to improving! Good luck, and well done on making your first post :)

hey the studies are looking good, keep it up. i like the shading but more contrast would help, try for darker shading next time.

Good to see your starting anatomy at a younger age (wish I wouldve started that a couple years ago)

And.... that guy with the swords.... has a mushroom.... for a head haha
(observation: his feet and hands seem a tad small to me)

Good start though:)

JFierce - Thanks man, im really trying to get my anatomy down. And thanks for the observation :)

First one is a still life off my watch, gonna use it for my portfolio for university, and the second one is a quick scrible in my sketchbook. Hopefully more anatomy will be coming this afternoon.

Cool. Keep up those anatomy studies. I like the watch still life..but keep in mind that shadows aren't completely black. Keep drawing!

Italien Horsey- Thanks man, i got to start adding backgrounds so my cast shadows arn't the darkest thing in the picture :D

The first one is just some line work i satrted for a sea monster, the second is some quick sketches, n the third i actually am pretty happy with.
