Did this one over the weekend, I had a deadline, so its not the best, but for 2 days worth of work I think it came out nice. I plan on taking it further in my free time, any thoughts on what I should do with it?

Forgot to mention, this is originally from the Show, Ghost in The Shell

to get that diving suit look with the arms and joints that these type of robots have, you should go ahead and try spline/nurb modeling, and then convert to poly, I did a fuchikoma and the results were so much better and faster, saved a lot of time and headache

You should add more detalization, it looks too primitive. It's not enought for 2 days.

Looks good maybe the shaders could be better, but for 2 days of work is very good.

I like the general modeling, but the scale seems off.
IIRC, it should be nearly twice the size of a Tachikoma (http://www.hlj.com/product/WAVKK-01), which is around the size of a VW Beetle.
The ladder on the side needs to go, and you can either go for an anime-look with simple colors, or apply 'realistic' textures and have it transcend.
Good looking work, especially for such a short work-time.
