my best digital painting yet, i think. this is from the paint my sketch thread i started in el coro's sketchbook forum. thanks to everyone who colored it with me. it helped me alot before i started to color this beast in.

very nice, the arms are the best part, great colors. the color of the fluids on his arms gives me creeps ;)
he looks like he got a serious sunburn.

thanks nacho! thanks for coloring him too! i wouldnt have colored it if you and the others wouldnt have colored it. i was trying for your painterly look as much as possible using the normal brush tool in photoshop 6 at 50 per cent transperancy. then i would smear corners of color droplets with the smudge tool. i burned freckles on him as an up date and fixed som color that went out of the lines. i didnt notice before. i had two layers of the b/w sketch posted that were using a 50% multiply, under that i had two layers. the very botom was color and just above that a highlight layer. then i added a fith layer over everything and used that to highlight or color over the original sketch. i am learning ... :)

nice, i like how the colors are really mottled, gives it a dirty feeling. you're a big fan of schiele i take it?

Nice job killing... It definitly has your feel.
Although as a crit i would have to say that a good ink rendering before color would have done wonders to the depth and the focus on certin areas.

his arms look like he has iodine all over them. I hate that stuff.

i love peter chung! and even more i love egon schiele, who also is a favorite of peter chungs (i have read .. somewhere)

i was going for an iodine feel, i am glad it communicated right with you. the idodine kind of got darker and wetter and in my opinion .. cooler.

i have another sketch up, color it. and if you havent tried coloring the first .. color it. it is really fun.

Very stylish!

I can't help to think that it's a bit flat (no foreshortening or perspective), but it's sorta OK since the image doesn't aspire to be 3d anywhere, so it's consistant that way.
