Custom Palettes

Ok, so here's my problem/question:

Im trying to make a custom palette with the icons that show my dab. Even after capturing my dab (from the brush creator) I click and drag the new icon down (from the brush menu at the top right) to my custom brush palette and I still get the default icon (seen at the bottom of the pic).

Any tips on how to get my custom palette to actually show what brush Im using??
