Just wondering if all those out here with me on the East Coast are okay after the hurricane. We didn't get hit like the Carolina's, but a couple sections of the fence around my yard fell down and we had some pretty hefty branches laying around. Thank goodness none fell on the house!

Anyway, hope no one was seriously hurt or put out!

School got canceled for me because of...oh wait...nothing happened.
COme to think of it, I have no clue why school got canceled.
No trees down, no power out, no rain.

This is Anthony Nguyen reporting LIVE from New York City.
Despite strong winds and some fallen trees and minor power outages in scattered parts of the city, there seems to be no major damage caused by the storm Isabel. As of yet, no reported injuries, majority of the damage caused by these high winds happened within the wee hours of the night. As of now, all schools and public functinos are operating as usual. We do not condone the usage of kites today, because the winds are unpredictable, stray kites can lead to dangerous if not lethal situations. Now moving on to sports....

deth your right. the worst hit will be out for days.

ive been out since mid-thursday. and it came back half an hour ago.. alot of the decorative trees aroundmy church (next door) came down.. several came down on my fence.. but no real property damage and all 3 cars are just plastered with leaves.

i have seen many smashes vehicles houses. and here (williamsburg) closer to James River and Chickahominy there were some flooded out pretty bad.. i work in asupermarket so ive been busy.. this side of richmond batteries ice and charcoal runlike gold.. but atleast its slooowly coming back in spots. and i guess this means school is likely next monday. anywho just thought id drop a few cents in since i had the potential of even being killed had one of the trees in my back yard blown over at a different angle.. i consider myself lucky. take care - ry
