I love music...especially live...I've been to a few concerts in my short 20 years of life..but i can honestly say..it's only bands I've enjoyed..or currently enjoy..
The question I ask all fo you what are some of the shows you witnessed, which were your favorites...and which did you not enjoy at all...
I went to my first large concert in 1998 during that years Family Values Tour featuring Orgy, Incubus, Rammstein, and headliners Korn...i was into Nu-Metal at the time...and Korn was a band i followed since 93-94(when they first released Demos to radio stations..a friends bro got a copy of the tape)
Soon after this show my taste in music changed from Nu-Metal, to Heavy Metal(Power, melodic, symphonic..etc..)My cousin from Brazil is responsible for this change after he sent me a tape of the music he listens to, you could say i was hooked...
The next show i went was 4 years later..on November 22, 2002..when i saw Angra (a Brazilian band i was just introduced to in August when i went to visit the same cousin in Brazil who got me into metal)..one of my favorite shows...because they put forth so much enthusiasm cause it was their first time in America touring...
The next show i went to happened to be the next day on November 23, 2003 where i got to see 2 of my favorite power metal bands...Symphony X..and Blind Guardian...This show is is my second favorite show..Thsi was each bands first American Tour.(which was pretty weird because Symphony X is from New Jersey but always played outside the US)...
The following show...and also my favorite of all the bands i've seen live was a concert featuring Motorhead(don't care for them)..DIO, and the Gods of metal themselves...IRON MAIDEN...hearing all my favorite Maiden songs live was such a trip and a half...
And the most recent show i went to was the the Nintendo Fusion Tour(this past tuesday) Featuring: Finger Eleven, Revus, Cold..and the highlight of the evening Evanescence...their songs are all awesome..and i had the chance to meet the band before the preformed..which was awesome(Am Lee the lead Singer of Evanescence is gorgeous in person..crystal blue eyes)...
So what are some of the bands you witnessed or would like to see live....

Ministry was undoubtably one of the best concerts I've been to. Other notables:
Front 242 and Project Pitchfork: So many people packed into the Metro in Chicago that my boots touched the ground maybe 50% of the time.
Prodigy and Meat Beat Manifesto
VNV Nation & Apoptygma Berzerk
Pantera, White Zombie, and the Deftones waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when...

I used to work concerts (security, local assistant) in Pittsburgh, PA while I was at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. So I was able to see a ton of shows.
I worked the Helmet show on my birthday and they gave me FREE passes for the show the following night ... They opened for Sepultura and Ministry in Toronto, ON Backstage w/AL, William Reiflin, Chris Connelly - Ab-so-freakin-lutly amazing.
Other Notables --
Nine Inch Nails - Original tour for Pretty Hate Machine in San Diego for $2.00 and got to meet the band and get a poster signed with those members
Skinny Puppy - Too Dark Park Tour -- Ogre hanging from a huge metal tree in the middle of the stage screaming Smothered Hope - Awesome.
Social Distortion - Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell Tour - Mike Ness and the band hung out with all of the local guys and after the show we took them to an after hours bar in Pittsburgh until 6:00 AM
Rollins Band - After the show I took the band to an after hours bar then the band members had me drive to some girls house at 5:00 AM - everyone passed out and woke up at 9:00 AM and I drove like hell back to the tour bus (band was an hour late) Henry Rollins was VERY pissed and was looking at me like he was gonna KILL me.
But the Three VERY BEST shows have to be --
#1 Peter Gabriel - His voice and music was so good I cannot even describe it. Sinead O'Connor also did the female vocals and the two were amazing together.
#2 The Sextasy Ball (Lords of Acid, My Life With the Thrill Kill Cult, Rocket From the Crypt and The Reverend Horton Heat) - The bands were AMAZING though all their sets. LOA was the headliner and when they started to play there were women everywhere on the dancefloor and cat walk of the bar taking their clothes off. I have NEVER seen so many naked people!
#3 Lollapalooza (1991) (Rollins Band, Butthole Surfers, Ice-T/ Body Count, Violent Femmes, Fishbone, Nine Inch Nails, Living Color, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Janes Addiction) - It was NEW and different and all the bands were great. The following Year was even better with Ministry Jesus and Mary Chain and others but the Red Hot Chili Peppers ruined it as the headliner.

Shit RONIN, how could I forget the Sextasy Ball? Friggin' amazing show.
I would give anything to go back in see Skinny Puppy in their prime. I had the pleasure of seeing oHGr at least...

Rammstein are amazing performers, they have flamethrowers and actually shot a rocket into the audience and shit like that. The singer soaked his hand in some shit and lit it on fire and waved his fist and and slammed his head like a madman.
Flamethrowers, explosions, rockets and german industrial rock...
I also quite enjoyed it when i saw Hypnotic Clambake in Boston once... they we're just really having fun and it rubbed off, I have rarely been so filled with joy :)
there aren't many bands that come over here. In the last year or so only two major bands have come to the country. Foo Fighters and Coldplay.
Edit: oh and talking about concerts... My life drawing instructor actually saw WEATHER REPORT playing in copenhagen many years ago ... I would have given a leg to see them perform :(

I saw that show when they rolled through Jersey. We left 5 minutes into the RHCP set. They didn't seem to fit in there. Wasn't Primus on that night too? Or was that '93?

the great ones for me were:
Melvins/ Tool aug 3rd- 98 knoxville-TN
first good show in my life ,but before the Melvins went on Maynard came out and asked " how many open minded loving compassoniant humans" were in the crowd, then asked "how many narrowminded tightass rednecks there was in the crowd" and the rednecks cheered for themselves, "then he asked them applaud as they left for the melvins" AND THEY LEFT! 10-or 15 of them with megadeath shirts on.. i should have gotten a seat , cuz they wanted to Pit awkwardly to everything.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds May 2nd 2002 beacon nyc
was an amazing show that felt like the world was ending before my eyes, even though this stupid girl with an afro STOLE a seat in front of me and i really was going to choke her to death when she started smoking these no thrill cigs that smelled like ass.
But, i would sell my soul to have seen a Faith No More show.

AHHHH ... Sailing the Seas Of Cheese ... '93 Lolapalooza.
Front 242 was the best one at the Pittsburgh show. Although I think the lead singer to Alice in Chains puked on the stage and crowd after the 3rd or 4th song and they quit. Really funny.

The closest I saw them together was Pigface. That was ALWAYS a wild show. I've seen Pigface 3-4 times and it is so different every time you see it.

amphex: I actually saw the Toadies open for White Zombie. A freakin' unlikely pair but I loved them regardless.
nil: White Zombie was always an amazing show (saw them quite a few times). The one I remember best was when they had looped Japanese super-hero porn playing during a kind of intermission...
I saw Pigface this last summer and about 5 years back... this year's show was so tame in comparison. I was most disappointed in Thrill Kill Kult... it's sad to see a bad you loved so much get old and lifeless on stage.

Nirvana and GnR in Vancouver, of the big name groups shows of wich I thought did great shows, (funny both front men hated each other) Im not much of a blues fan, but went to see BBKIng a couple years back because he`s a legend..and after the show I can see why,....BUT the 2 best shows I have ever seen were Jerry Cantrell when he opened for metalica(realy just went to see him) because theres no way to see Alice In Chains again...his show was wicked...and Devin townsend
But the only band that I cant believe I missed a chance to see and would give my left nut would be Tool and APC is just not the same.
