sorry about this, I haven't seen it explained anywhere.

How do I make a thumbnail for my thread? I see in the "works in progress" forum some posts also have thumbnails

The thumbnail is created from the first image you attach to the first post in your thread using the attachment feature.
The attachment feature is the button that looks like a paperclip.

EDIT: I think it was the file size which was stopping me, sorry:)
