As a head hunter you are allowed to challenge individuals within the crusade to one on one combat and can steal their loot -a person must consent to the duel- all dueling deadlines are 48 hours.

The next round will start in a couple of days after the round 1 poll finishes, you can sign up for as long as you want or whenever you want.

head hunting guilds are small bands of artists challenging oneanother to 1 on 1 battels, the winner gets the others head and their loot (not their skulltags, you keep them to show how many rounds you have participated in)

loot varies in coolness and uniqueness and the list of loot will be dramaticly expanded over the next round as we head into new territories on the crusade path.

*LEVELING
you can cash in your gold and loot to go up a rank- right now everyone but me and chaos are on lvl 1, there are 100 lvls each with a different icon.
Head hunters have their own icons and specialty loot to win.

LOGISTICS
when you head hunter match is arranged and the two competitors are ready to go . please move your match to a new thread post your match (A vsB) as the topic and put your topics in the first post

Goat - I'm pretty sure that as long as it's still the 28th somewhere in the world then you're good for the first round. Alti correct me if I'm wrong.

Just make some weapon and item challenges for people like me, and just give like small loot for them, or something. Just an idea.

Well honestly if all you can do is weapons I doubt you'll go very far in your career. If you send in a portfolio with only weapons most companies would either ask to see your other work or bypass you completely. Look at artists such as El Coro, Marko Djurdjevic, Jason Chan, etc. They can do anything as a concept artist should be able to. If you have weaknesses in other parts (for instance I'm bad characters/humans) you should work on those elements.
These challenges really focus on everything you'll need to be a successful concept artist: characters, creatures, weapons, items, armor, costumes, environments, etc all combined into one illustration. It's great that you're good at weapons. Use this to you're advantage when designing characters.

Actually im specialized in weapons, but I can also do vehicles of all sorts, people, creatures, architecture, and metal sculpture. So there not the only thing I can do, its just the thing im best at since ive been doing weapons since I first saw Ninja Turtles. Ill admit im not the best at people, far from it actually, but I can still do them. Im constantly learning new tools on my computer, as well as paper.

posting wips in the main battle 2 thread scores you dogtags to show you participated, the more developed your art, the more loot you get, also being part of the headhunters lets you get other pieces of loot other people dont, also you can challenge people to one on one combat to steal their loot,

Or is there an option to go as a mercenary, for my own benefit, and swaping from side to side as the crusade moves along:)

personlay my character will evolve over time and to suit the topic.

uhm...i was also thinking of designing my charcter and having it evolve..but indeed if many people does the same it would be cool to see the head of the characters defeated in the duel added to the winners loot, instead of some generic severed heads (if it was this your idea alti =) )don't know...just thinking =)

having them evolve would be cool, you could then add the battle scares and stuff as you go along, also if you loose loot and stuff in one battle, come the next battle those things would also have to be taken out of your character image. points deducted for keeping them in. Also maybe the possibility later of being able to buy armour or weapons, afterall wheres the point of having loot if you can't spend it. or am i just getting totally carried away here, lol

One question though, does our headhunter have to be human?

you dont have to pre design your character, nor does it have to be the same each round, like i will probably make a female character for this one, then next it will be an old man , dont limit yourselves straight off the bat, go crazy, just draw what you see happening in your topic.

Since my character is obviously much more important in this piece, you'll be somewhere in the background being torn apart by my beastie :P...or in the foreground as a puddle of blood and bones with a dagger sticking out...hmm have to decide yet.

wolfbane won because he worked harder for the win. He wins due to a crisp and well composed illustration BUT it lacks action and dynamics. It lacks the actoin element of the theme.
Alti lost due to a rushed feel to his entry. You need to go to battle prepared and ready to fight. His entry was strong and well planned but he lost it due to a too chaotic and somewhat sloppy render.

lol tagteam is too complex to judge, 1 on 1 is enough for now, we got multiple independent rounds on as well as the main crusade plus the big multivote and organising judges for each individual battle, then updating ranks inventories icons awarding loots and taking away lootz.

I have a roster of people I call on for judging. I try not to bug any one person too much, its a fair amount of work. i try to get judges who are not competing in the crusades, just to keep it fair. I confess its often who ever I can grab off IRC including but not exclusively: Davi, Hurricane and Oregano. I try to get people from different aesthetic points of view
since you'll get a pretty consistant result from Alti and Me...:P

Which deadline would be have, i mean, starting the 48 hours when? i can start tomorrow afternoon.

I bet you know all of our curse words, was the first thing i learned in english, and italian... strongzo, my father is been nagging me in portuguese for 18 years, so i bet i know a lot portuguese curses too,like paneleiro... there you go :D

if you loose your head you dont loose a rank, ranks continue to go up, if you win someones head you will definatly go up a rank, its all about the art.

if you do a good piece of art but the oponent does a better piece, i'l still reward good art with ranks or loot, just the person who beat you will get more.

Nao, eu no dis iso a ele, so que se o q conhecia a palabra xD.

markus > you dont loose ranks for loosing duals, heads accumulate, and are different from loot, loot is traded for ranks. the more you draw the more lootz you get, the more loots you get the better rank you are, judges will call it by ear most of time.
