I love to paint "serious" and "Scary/moody" stuff. I never really go outside my own box, so to speak. So I thought about it and decided to juxtaposition a scary orc with a very happy little girl. The thought was that she got him as a Christmas present and she really loves her new Orc friend =) The Orc is ofcourse less enthusiastic about the Idea, but what can he do? She is just too happy for him to hurt her feelings =)
I used Oil Pastels in Painter for the entire image with some last minute touch-ups done in Photoshop. But I really wanted to "Paint" this one, and not rely to much on "Photoshop Tricks".
Anyways. This was a blast to make so I hope you all enjoy it!

Looks pretty good man. :D
I agree with the comment on the frame and also I'd recommend taking it a little easier on the dodge tool in some parts, but overall it's a nice piece.

Thanks for all the comments! :D
SpookyBabyDoll: Yeah, itīs made in Photoshop, and it doesn't fit the style of the real image, but i kind of like that. But I get your point =)
Dusty: I actually only used Painters Glow slightly on the helmet highlight. For the rest of the image I used the Oil Pastels =)

Ah, well either way what it looks like is a dodge whether you used the tool itself or not. So my crit would simply be to just lessen the blowout of your highlights a bit.

Dusty: I get what you mean =) But I like it, it makes the image less gloomy and dark and more fairytale:ish I think =) And It is alot of fun to paint too! :D Perhaps I will make another image on the same Idea but make It "My Human And Me" Where the Orc gets a Human for christmas.. That could be alot darker and shaded more realistic. You didnīt mean that it should be more realistic.. but I kind'a get carried away in my replys sometimes... hehe =)
