Hey everyone,
I've been creeping this forum for a bout a week or so
and first off, I want to say WOW!

a while ago I used to love making little "claymations".. but they were with playdough, and alot more for entertainment, and defiantly don't have any merit at all.
Recently I bought a pack of air drying clay,
and wanted to get into it, its always interested me..
So i made a couple little charecters,
I'll post one, hes a little penguin, but his arms broke, :( but he was my first project..

then I made a logo..

Then I bought a small pack of sculpey 3.. and boy am I hooked!
Here is the first creature Ive done, I made him in a waiting room,
hes not really..anything but.. was fun!

I decided to try and make a little bust..
it started with a ball,
that turned into a head
that went undead,
and got a body.

Ive put a few hours into him, and hes the first detail oriented peice I have ever done. He's with super sculpey, seeing as how my awesome girlfriend pointed out a way to get it for rather cheap, so I got the 8 pound box for now, :D

Heres my limited little collection..

I dont think I am ever going back, polymer is definitely the way for me
Im sorry for the long post,

Any help/crits/comments are really welcome,
thanks!

Also, if anyone could recommend a good book to study to help me work on this as well, it would be appreciated..
Thanks again,
It is really cool to be able to show/share and most of all learn from the people in here, Ive gone back about 20 pages of 50 threads, reading and admiring all your works, and its truly inspiring!

Don't know any books, but the most important things are anatomy and practice. Study anatomy, keep interesting pictures, naked people, faces, muscles, try to reproduce them. practice is just as important, by doing you learn from your mistakes. Keep it up :)
