Nice. Seems like the hair part is simpler than the rest of the pick. Is this still in progress?

getting the line weight to stay the same thickness across one line is pretty hard with traditional pens.. im running into that problem right now.
maybe a french curve for those beautiful swirls of yours?
idk

Very nice design......kinda 60's flavor Flash Gordon crossed with Battle Star Galactica. I only wish the line weight receded with the distance.
Now for some color!:chug:

i have to agree with s fish's idea. It really has that 50's feel. The characters in the fore ground really add a 70's feel to it, which gives it freshness.
i dig it.
landmate, i hope you post the color asap!!

heya heya-
Thx all for compliments. This was kindof an experiment cuz I'm not used to doing scenes/completed stuff.
Smelly - no it's plain on purpose but I might add some more lines digitally. Was going for a wierd 70's graphic feel.
Land - make my day and color this bro. I'm a big fan.
Coro - thx you're the man.
Dark, Clock, ty - thank you thank you thank you :P
Scumble/Afro - thx - yea agreed, it's got that dated retro feel which I'm cool with. Like I said, tried to get graphic with it... About the lines, I tried to make it work! hehe, Good call on receding distance, lots of stuff to keep track of... maybe too much?
endreg, gasmask - right on thanks for stopping by.
So thnx again allayallz. This was kind of an experiment - I'll try to solidify spacing and composition on my next completed/scene thingy, whatever that may be. Working big makes me lazy...
Landmate do us all a favor and try to color this! I'd really appreciate it.
Cheers.

whoa...naughty naughty kressy boy,stop showing off.;P..
awesome man, graphic comic style line art has gotta be one of the most tricky things to do right, but you did real good here m8.
Only thing that blares out at me is the proportioning of the womans face seems slightly off, other than that id buy it in a sec..
your colours Landmate just meld perfectly with the style, love the modeling of the womans head, the extreme angle you painted the chin could be lowered a bit though...welldone

What's to say? Thanks a ton all for the compliments - I think Coro and LM deserve a lot, if not most, of them :p
Blastzone - have at it dude, all attempts are more than welcome.
Coro - thx a lot, I'm really complimented you decided to color this. I'm *feelin* the fauv graphic colors, because I think that's exactly what that part deserves. I made this graphic and kinda' "funky" for a reason and I love that 70's stained glass OG graphic design feel. Nice job on the faces too, of course. I realize it's kindof a quickie but I always like your coloring, it's real bold, and seeing it on my own drawing is a real good lesson. I'm down with the funky sun too, it matches the colors at bottom...
LM - Thanks a ton to you too. I'm a big fan and this is a high compliment. I love what you did and think the girls face is gorgeous. You made her eyes white and scary, EXACTLY how I imagined them. I think the sky works well too, and has given me a bunch of ideas on where to go with my own frightening coloring :p The modeling on the guys cybernetics, the textured clouds, etc. are all real cool. Like I said, I'm afraid of coloring but your take on it lends my ideas more dimension in my head. I do however think the colors in bottom are somewhat unfinished. They go from brown to blue and I'm not sure why? I do really like the hilite on the shape tho.
It was good for me to see this in color guys so thx for the lesson. You guys rock. And thx all again who decided to stop and say something. Collabos Rule!!
I'm out.
*edit - thx Rusty!! This was sortof an experiment so I'm real glad you like it. Not sure what you mean about women's head, size?
