Hey gang,

Another basics Challenge, this time Feet. Time frame... on going, so nobody should have any trouble finishing. Start at any time and finish well hopefully not too long. This is aimed at honing basic sculpting skills and plan on crits and comments during the progress, that doesn't mean some of you at higher levels can't play too. Anyone can comment and critique as long as they are constructive and helpful.

So create a human foot or feet. It or they must be bare for walkin' in the grasses, this means no shoe, no shirt no service.

WIP Shots are a must. As well as a reference picture, even if its a shot of your own icky foot. I want to see at least one WIP before we post our finished results. I would recommend posting at least one a week.

There will be no poll for the Basics. I want to stress growth and learning with these, so unless you guys really want a poll the Basics will be learning events only ;)

Now get sculpting!

Thanks for posting a new challenge mate: I'll be in on this one, pobably working in water clay and maybe, if time permits, trying my hand at modelling along with the clay piece in Maya to compare the two. Reference shots in a little while.

Hmm, this sounds interesting, when are the poll competitions going to start?

I'd use my foot as reference.. but I need to cut my toenails and I can't find my clippers :P

Could we run another challange along side this one like a chow challange, just a thought.

Hi Limon,

This challenge is quite old and never took off, but please go ahead with what you are doing. You are off to a good start. I would watch your curves. At the moment your clay is very squared off. Look at your live foot, the arch of your instep and the line of your toes should have a sweeping curve.
