so things started out as though they were inspired by someone else's work.
i learned that i had to be inspired by life, instead of by life how someone else sees it. adding new layers of mystery and redefining a style and method. thinking about shape and having discrete colors that don't look like they blend into each other. fun fun fun. old -> new

Wow, those WS black and whites are great, mostly because of how instantly they register as that person, in size, attire, and pose. Seriously, those studies are intriguing as fuck!

Those cel-shaded, toonish fellows are awesome - great silhouettes! They have a sort of Wind Waker/JSR feel to them. I'd love to see more in that style.

Keep it up!

Ta, Nick.

zooooom! turn turn turn!!!! TUUUURRRRN
that first turnaround is pretty badass. The knees bobbles are a bit low tho. The second turnaround [teh hooded dood] feels solid [although very low knees again], but the last two seem lacking- especially the render, feels very disconnected from itself, and lacking volume in various parts.

can't wait for more donkdonkdonkdonkTUUURN!!!!

Starting at the top left:
The Black Frog, Rich Doble, Andrew Jones, ?, ?, ?, Michael Hussar, ? .
I think I got it right... I can't tell who the ones with the ? are.
I really like your style.

man... after wrestling around with zbrush, i finally got it to work for me for the texturing portion. other than that, i used the good ol' Wings3D and Anim8or to do what they each do best.. and it only took a day :).

Monkeying around in colors. it’s fun because it’s limited in size, so it forces you to focus on the big picture more than details, though detail is possible. and it’s totally portable :). I really like Goro’s work the gorilla artfare blog. painterly and stylized. just more fun things that can be done to push the limits of art and what’s fun.

just playing around with shapes… though you can’t really see all the playing around. plus a little bit of process.

OMG a bear!
Colors! again. it's fun to create certain lighting conditions right in an alla prima setting instead of using the different color and blend modes that photoshop can help you cheat with :}

I like your 3d stuff. Maybe you can post a texture map and wireframe as well? I feel that at first glance you may need to refine your skin texturing a bit more...

man. really sweet stuff you got going on here.
specially digging the digi color environments. although the characters are slick too
nice job on the renderings. only crit is some of the surfaces are a little rough. particularly at the arm/chest connections.
otherwise it's good stuff. keep on rockin it Bee man.

Your 3D art is very entertaining, are these from a side project? Regardless, I can't help but stare at them like some child wanting them for their toy collection, hahahaha. I really like your traditional sketches it'd be great to see some more C:.
