This was done for an art trade with the master El Coro. I sculpted a dino based on one of his drawings and he gave me a sweet-ass oil painting which hangs proudly at my house. Eat your hearts out suckahs, I have a Coro original! If anyone is interested, I can post another view that shows the "split" top pallette that you can't see here. (BTW; this 'paintjob' was done in Photoshop). Hope you dig.

This is tight. Very nice. Seems that you are able to conceive better with clay. Perhaps Tippet would have been sold on something more 3-dimensional?

Got some more sculptures laying around? Love to see.

-here's another view...not the sharpest picture but it shows Coros split top design. Notice the lack of fanciful photoshop action. Oh well, next time.

That is amazing to the point of being ridiculous. Both the sketches and the sculpt (especially the sculpt). Congratulations all around.

This is sick as f*ck... the design is neat, just enough of a twist on nature, and the sculpture is about as tight as I could ask it to be.

How about a shot of the painting??!!

Amador: Sculpt is about 12 inches from the back base to the tip of the nose.

darkcult: Thankyou

Exo: Yeah I did the creature shop thing for a good while but I like living up here better. Plus, you are exposed to fewer chemicals when you do the computer thing.

foster: Holy crap, I'm a big fan...love your book. Thanks man. I'd love to do an art trade with you some time. In addition to the Coro, I also got a Wayne Barlowe painting that way, so let me know if you're interested, It'd be great to build my collection of masters.

**I'll put up some more sculpture stuff soon. Thanks for all the kind words you guys.

Im preparing to work with super sculpy to create models of my character concepts - are you putting any tutorials on your site?

Ive found other tutorials on the web which are ok, but the standard of work isnt that high - im more interested in learning from a pro.

thanks for sharing.
