IGN have put up some concept artwork for a game being made by Reloaded Studios called "the day"
They have instantly become some of my favourite concept images evaarr. I was just wondering if anybody knew/could identify the artist behind these.
Or perhaps he / she could be reading this post right now. If so, stand up and raise your hand.
Anyway, even if nobody knows they are still nice to take look at.

I saw these on Kotaku, and they're great. I emailed Reloaded Studios to ask who it was so...waiting on their reply. Korean MMO, NCSoft...maybe someone from Guild Wars? Cicinemo?

I'm pretty sure the work is by Jamie Jones (http://artpad.org/), the cat who did all those cool digital paintings for Guild Wars: Eye of the North. I thoroughly raped his portfolio a while back when I was hunting the interweb for Neverwinter Nights portraits. That pirate on the mainpage of his site was one my favorites.
Nice work again man; been a fan for a while.

Here are some of the paintings Robotnik mentioned, for those who don't follow links...

Aren't we so damn lucky to live in an age where video games look just as good as their concept art?

it's paperblue, his art is even on the frontpage, he's known as Hipper round these parts http://www.conceptart.org/?artist=hipper

having checked the portfoilo on the mainpage of concept art i am doubley impressed with this artists work.
it is amazing how they manage to paint in such a loose and expressive manner but still the images appear explicit and detailed and real.
Somebody mentioned craig mullins earlier in this thread, who is another guy who can do the same thing.
How... exactly they do it is beyond me (though i'd rather like to learn)
