uh, what you have so far is good. it's hard to give helpful crit when there's not much to crit on. the figure's torso is looking really nice. the only thing that doesn't look quite right is that the torso appears as if your looking at it straight on, while the raised arm is at angle that would not possible unless the torso was turned to the left.

nice progression with this painting. i agree with ignominious, the torso should be twisted to your right more. start with correcting the chest, it should put the rest of the torso right

yeah... the guy is rendered and all, but there is no life to him. he is very stiff and rigid. if you want to have movement (i think you do... since he's strumming the guitar) you need to think of the gesture. the overall motion of him. then be meticulous about the anatomy and proportion. it's a delicate balance.

the rendering on your stuff is nice and clean, and you seem to have an eye for volume.... Your anatomy is pretty good technically, like all the relevant muscle groups are there and stuff but donkey slayer is right, your images so far lack a little dynamism...
my advice, sketch more, finished pieces less....
Sketch a whole bunch of ideas, every now and again you will get a killer sweeping image thats is alive, then develop that...
the more you keep sketching the more likely you will see these images pop up.
Also a small niggle, the arm looks a little short...
I hope im not being to harsh, but hey, its only the start of your sketchbook. Up Up and away :D
