Hey all,
To make everything clear: I'm a big noob at this :)
Im looking for a book that might help me learn how to draw concept art.
Im a big fan of John Howe so when i looked on the internet my eyes fell on this one: http://www.amazon.com/John-Howe-Fantasy-Art-Workshop/dp/1600610102/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200327940&sr=8-1
Is there someone else who bought this book? and was it helpfull?
If anyone else knows some good books to learn from pls add them here, that would help me a lot :)

Thx

You may want to get Howe's book for inspiration and tips, than more of art instruction. I leafed through it and it didn't catch my interest in terms of instructional value... It didn't cover painter, there are some video wikis that can get you started http://wikivid.com/index.php/Painter

You didn't mention if you are a Painter user or not. There is so much to learn about art it's really hard to tell you where to start, other than using the software between your ears and for hardware, a cheap pad of paper and pencil, draw what you see, and learn to see what you are drawing. Easy huh!

There are a lot of good Painter books out there, one I'd recommend is the Painter WOW books. A little more pricey than your pick but it does give you a pretty fair grounding in Painter. And of course, I'm in it. My claim to fame fleeting as it is.
