3 Starship Troopers 2 concepts:

Hey folks, Petey here;
Thought I'd post a few early designs I did for Troopers II which is in production right now at Tippett Studio. I'm currently the animation supervisor for the show, but I also did a bunch of concepts in the pre-production phase. These were not used, just a few from the pile. -About time I post on here after snooping for so long. If you like this stuff I can put up more soon. Check it, yo.(dang, hope this works!)

...and none of these, though a couple are getting closer. I ended up doing a crapload of them and in the end Phil went with a design by our visual effects supervisor Craig Hayes. Such is life.

chukw: Nope, no suits in this on either. The budget is very low on this...barely the ammo budget of the first one, so sorry. It'll look expensive though, believe me, new bugs, lotta cool shite. And this one is more of a horror film, dark, stormy, gory. Fans of the first one will be surprised (hopefully pleasantly) by this one. Sorta like going from Aliens to Alien...you know reversed in tone.

Cool work! I like the style of your troopers. they have more of a retro look than the first movie. Of course, now that you've shown us these, the studios will be assassinating you soon, right? So we probably shouldn't expect to see any more from you even though it would be nice.

Sammy: Yeah, media breaks are in there. And that quote in your mail was said by our producer in a cameo in that first one. Trivia: Jon Davidson also produced the first Airplane movie...coincidence?

McNally: Yeah well thanks...the troopers aren't really going to look like that, just me suggesting.
