Hey all. I'm here to ask for help putting theory into practice. I just received my BFA after a long and fairly unchallenging University studio art program. Very little emphasis was placed on technical training and little to no time was taken examining commercial entrepreneurial endeavors. Most of my technical ability I owe to the great critics and teachers in this community, for what it's worth. So I guess now that I'm out from under the academic cocoon, I'm looking the right working professional freelance artist to give me a swift kick in the ass in the right direction... It's funny how now that I'm done with my art education that I really feel that I can properly pursue my art.

In terms of freelance work, I've done a couple book covers, an album cover for a local band and really not much else. I'm willing to examine any possibility however. I'm also committed to spending 20 hours a week apart from my full-time job in order to really do this. What I want to know is how to build the right portfolio. I have no illusions about the quality of my work either and I'd really like to strengthen it and be able to offer much more quality and versatility.

I look forward to hearing from anyone willing to help me out. Below are a few samples. Thanks.
