Maybe you've heard about him before...
His name is John Titor. He posted on many forums on the net in the last months of 2000 and till march 2001.
He said he came back in time from the year 2036. He travelled to 1975 and was on his way back to 2036.
Some say he was an amazingly clever and intellegent, ingeneous Fraud. But was he really??? his references to The GINGER....the Segway scooter, The Iraq war...and CERN Microsingularities research have already come true.
Have a look yourself here >>|||||||||||||||||||||||||||| (http://www.johntitor.com)
And now on September 11 2003 someone again surfaced on the same board claiming to be him and would disclose many secrets on 16 september, tomorrow including a video and the exact date of North Korea revealing to the world that they have nuclear arms.
this is here... http://www.timetravelinstitute.com/ttiforum/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=time_travel&Number=14387&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

Do you know how many wild predictions are broadcast over the radio, tv, internet, tabloids and magazines? A lot. Statistically by mere coincidence some of them have to be right some of the time.

Well I think, Its human nature not to believe something about their future if it is told to them in a way they do not want it to happen. So I do not Blame any of you.
But, Just before shrugging him off as a hoaxer, Please go and read his posts on art bell's site :: archived here:: http://communities.anomalies.net/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=9&t=000024
as well as the timetravel Institute's forums. His username is TimeTravel_0 here.

Thank you cucaracha.
Did you know this Titor guy isn't the first lonely person to try to get a pathetic sort of attention by pretending to be something he's not on the Internet?
There have been dozens of other people who pop-up pester obscure paranormal/theoretical message boards claiming to be Time Travelers / Anti-Christ / Aliens / Vampires etc. They stay for a bit, argue and then disappear.
Sometimes their stories are full of holes right away (as well as grammar errors and bad spelling). Sometimes they're very articulate and may sound convincing for a time. The more they write the more they contradict themselves. Like Titor. He says he's here for one thing one minute then he's here for something else. He later states he can't actually go back to his original time, but he then says he is returning; he says he's here to save it, but then he says nothing he does here affects what happens where he left. He also said he was here for an old IMB computer. Right. His "diagrams" look similar to what I once copied out of Dr. Kaku's "Hyperspace" book.
Believe what you want. But when it comes to what written on the Internet… believe at your own risk.
Maybe I’m just bitter that nobody can tell me when Half-Life 2 is really being released.

I don't get it. Titor says he's on a possible worldline or whatever, but if he has traveled back to this world... How is he to tell his timemachine which worldline to travel back to?
Frankly, I don't really care, though. :D
nil
September 18th, 2003, 01:14 AM
he doesnt, he goes back to a 'worldline' thats similar anough to his own that it doesnt matter. because there are infinite worldlines, you wouldnt be able to get back to the one you came from. by the same logic, this isnt the same worldline he originally visited. in fact it isnt the same john titor eithet. makes for interesting thought, but not much more than that.

(To tell the truth, i am a robot sent back from the year 2037 to find the hoaxer you are all talking about. He is NOT a time traveller. He is a seriously deranged individual that will turn out to be a serial killer.
In the remote location of Latitud, southern Brazil, he will kill several people on 11 November of the year 2003, at 11.34 am, by using USB hot-pluggable devices, connected to an old Apple-II computer.
This computer originally had a special function in it. This was later removed, and all Apple emplyees were bribed into silence, however they do try to tell you something by their weird transparent designs. The transparency should make you think about what they are really trying to hide... But such reasoning techniques are obviously not known to your somewhat primitive society. Since i have had my LSD surrogate chip upgrade these reasoning patterns are clear to me as blue rockets mating bunnies in a mountain of lilies.
He also used serial cables, so please do not give them to any strangers.
Further i can give you the following information to prove that i am from the future: in 23d street in New York a man will cross the street at 09.19 PM tomorrow, and that flight AM-239 next tuesday to Heathrow will be delayed three minutes.
Finally, i can say that in my year of origin all people are happy and like to wear coffee machines.
Greetings.

Erik, Erik, Erik!!! Can you tell me when Half-life 2 will be released, seeing that you're a future robot and all. Surely you know.
Amazon said Oct. 30th now it says Dec. 1st but all the geeks on the forums insist on Sept. 30th.
(No, I don't know when to let go of a running gag. Your pardons please.)

I'm sorry to say that in my timeline Half-Life was never released because John Titor (Conner?) killed the lead designer with a device made out of drinking straws and old mcGuiver video tape casings. No, i'm joking (it's that humor chip again)
-- My guess is that they will strike whenever it's best to do so, especially taking into account christmas sales... Sorry!

I found it pretty interesting and smart.
I'm positive that this guy isn't from the future, but i think he's after a nobel cause, yet alot of it is non-productive gibberish.
if he had the 'time' to time travel he should have thought about what he would say to us my clearly. His replies are riddled to the point that the reader has guess events that they can match them to the best.
If this guy made a movie it would be fantastic. To me he seems very intelligent.
and even though you are making fun of him, at least he's not pretending to be a 13 year old girl in middle school that is obessed about talking about her own panties.

Sounds like a Halloween episode of the simpsons.

time travel theory #11
Time travel will be invented in the year 2012, at the end of the mayan callender. once time travel has been achived all time as we know it will cease to exist. it will mark a new era of time, space and man/ and the end of the world we know.
dont take the next 8 years for granted boys and girls. brace your selves for the begining of the end and the end of the begining. :) :chug:

THE END OF THE WORLD IS NIGH!
It's amazing how many forms we've heard that message in recently, Y2K and terrorism being two most obvious ones.
I tend to agree with the idea put forth in 'Bowling for Columbine' that there is a culture of fear being generated throughout the media, seemingly more in the US than here, that is essentially a smokescreen allowing both corporate and government evils to go unnoticed or unchallenged.
I'm not saying that this Titor dude is one of them but his story is definitely tapping into that.
That said, I can certainly see the climate in the US building toward some form of revolt at some stage in the future...as an outside observer anyway.
Also, now that we are in the 21st Century and have discovered how to clone living creatures, time travel could be on the way...once we have that, and flying cars, we'll be living in The Future.

"The civil war in the United States will start in 2004. I would describe it as having a Waco type event every month that steadily gets worse. The conflict will consume everyone in the US by 2012 and end in 2015 with a very short WWIII."

Yeah Teatime, I've read Stupid White Men and also Dude, Where's My Country.

It was also good to see yet more evidence of Bush and his puppeteers for what they are...

Didn't humans make up time, and therefore it only exists to us?
Also, he said that his time machine never moved, but doesn't the earth move? so wouldn't he end up in space?

Predicting mad cow disease is no big feat. It was going to happen anyways and if I remember correctly the artist Ursula Vernon made a prediction involving mad gnu disease that would strike around the end of the year (as a joke). So I'm not impressed. Also his physics are completely wrong. I'm only a physics enthusiast, but scientists have hoped CERN would make mini-black holes for a long time. Of course, with Hawking radiation these tiny singularities would "evaporate" before they could be used (they exist for less than a billionth of a second). Even if you could make large singularities they would crush anyone who tried to enter. Real wormholes might be created with spinning or electrified black holes but it would require the energy and mass of a large star.
Needless to say we won't be time traveling anytime soon. And if the European Union did disintegrate as he mentioned, how exactly would they be able to maintain the super-expensive CERN?
WildSpruceMoose
January 11th, 2004, 11:38 AM
I'll make 100 predictions for the next 50 years right now. So long as I predict them in verse, vaguely, with no specific dates, and ensure most are an inevitability, I'll be another time traveller from the year 2056. Ooohhh I am very skeptical of this, and I don't know why.
I also have heard a theory that a time machine is unable to travel back in time to earlier than the date it was created o.0

mos: humans did not make time, it was made for us.
if time travel did exist, dont you think man wouldnt. got into the wrong hands, things start to go missing.
this is BS. filled with lies and deceit. believe what you want, because no man can tell me this is true

mos667: people didnt invent time, cause otherwise time wouldnt slow down when you move past the speed of light and i think time is affected by gravity, but im probably wrong about that
Also, he said that his time machine never moved, but doesn't the earth move? so wouldn't he end up in space?
i always wondered about that too, and what if he appeared where a person was standing or something, not to mention the fact that air is made of particles what happens to those molecules when they're suddenly occupying the same space as him and his time machine when he appears? atomic fission i guess

1) he's a fraud, stop fooling yourselves.
2) Mad cow is a much older problem than just the late 1990 outbreak. There was one in Britian in the 80's I think which makes his statement obsolete, and not much of a prediction. And Mad cow is similar to KURU which is the human version, foundi n cannibal tribes. That has been around for a very long time too.
3) The world will end. But hopefully not soon. And when it does I wanna be riding the first nuke down Dr. Strangelove style.:chug: :chug: :chug: :chug: :chug: :chug: :chug:

January 11th, 2004, 04:56 PM
mos: we didn't invent time, we simply invented a word to stand for it and a way of conceptualizing it, namely as a forward flowing stream. This flowing theory may be wrong though and it could be that time is a series of still instants, but the scientific community is still looking into that. Might be right or wrong, but we did not invent time either way. If we did, then we could not have existed before our minds were developed enough to reason it out, which means that we could not have gone through an evoltionay cycle and must have therefore sprung out of a single instant. Thats impossible.

there was a show on discovery channel explaining time travel. They said travel to the future can be done now with fast enough speed but traveling to the past is more difficult and results in a paradox because if you went back in time and killed your father you wouldnt exist so you couldnt be standing there to kill him. Travel to the future isnt like a machine they said but rather traveling so fast that time slows down for you but remains constant for others so you travel the same distance in less time. :)
And that world is gonna end stuff. Well its gonna end sooner or later. The sun is gonna die out contract and super expand engulfing the earth in a couple billion years. So we have a couple billion years to kill ourselves off.
jermainevl
January 13th, 2004, 02:14 PM
neil, i am familiar with that paradox. But what if you kill your father in the past, and you are then in a parallel universe. You'd still be there, but when you travel back to the future it will be entirely different (not 'your' future), and you cannot go back to the future you came from. The multi-universe theorie. But if there is only one 'universe', then you are right, and then it will be a paradox.and that means it will be impossible.:trippy:
