Evening!

I've been browsing CA for awhile and all the talent and energy is always a source of motivation and inspiration for me!

I've decided to start my own sketchbook.
Any comment or advice is greatly appricieated!
Swedish is my native language but my english is quite decent as well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll begin my sketchbook with posting a self-portrait which is one of the first exercises in Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards.

Tried to draw what I saw instead of making things up. Kind of went wild on the hair and I still need to add ears : )

Please do comment : )

You've made an awesome progression. Just keep on going.
The critique:
The forehead is a bit flat, which makes most of the upper half of the head look like a big flat surface. The eyes are flat, look in a mirror (and your Bridgman book) to see how you could simplify eyes, which will help you a lot.
The glasses are skewed. The eyebrows looks too small. Realize that all drawings you want to have the illusion of depth, have planes projecting into space. So learn perspective and study the planes of the face.
This thread have some good exercises I think you will benefit from, especially your portraits:

The ears are missing, but I guess you knew that.

I do like the drawing though, just that you wanted me to critique it so I did. My favorite part is the throat.

I found some pictures of two scupltures I did a couple of months ago.
Taken with a mobile camera by a bad photographer ( me -_- ). I need to get a proper camera and learn how to take better pictures.

Feel free to critque, comment or just say hi : )

Here's some nude studies I did tonight. I tried to catch the general outlines and I wanted to get some shading down but my model was a bit impatient : )
Doing them was to raise the bar a bit for me but i'm far from satisfied.

I'm in desperate critque ! Comments are also more than welcome!
