While it's been one of my life's greatest dreams to see an actual scorpion fight an actual wasp with Japanese commentary, the glass cage just cheapens the whole thing. These are majestic combat-bred insects, the perfect warriors meant to fight on the open battlefield with dignity and honour, not to be shoved into a cage and filmed for our enjoyment. It's like a sedated tiger without any claws fighting Bruce Lee in handcuffs.

I think it's sick. Apart from being boring as hell.

I think it's sick.
Felt really sorry for those bugs. Nothing againts them fighting in the wild, but being forced to fight in a fucking cage for the sake of entertainment?

Yeah, me too. Then again, I'm a sensitive (and militant) fag when it comes to animals' torture by man. People tend to agree with that concerning mammals, but everything that's mute, like insects, fish etc. doesn't matter to them.

Some of them are kind of dumb. Like the crayfish vs. the beetle - I know they're both arthropods, but that's just...absurd.
I'm not huge on animal rights. Usually I think it's funny when animals fight each other. Look! They think they're people!

I can honestly say I don't feel bad watching this.
Somewhere I differ between insects and other animals.

That scorpion didn't have a chance!

The only thing wrong with this is how damn boring it is. They should make it more interesting somehow.

Leadyyyy.... Fight!
EDIT: About the animal rights thing. Yeah I don't really feel sorry for these bugs, nevertheless I think it's unneccesary and abuse of our 'master species' kind of power... For coolness/grossness, watch round 11 when a scorpion actually manages to poison a crayfish and it has a seizure!

Besides the always funny manky pun, and the lulzy japanese introduction, is pretty boring
I Dont find the amusement on watching 2 insects fight each other on a glass cage :shrugs: Cock and dog fights are brutal and should be stoped, insects battle is just kinda lame...
Nothing as exciting as cockroach racing :D

Despite the internet lulz factor of this I just found it too painful to watch all of the way through. It's one thing when you've got too evenly-matched opponents, but that poor scorpion never had a chance.

I didn't think the wasp had a chance tbh, but it was so damn aggressive, and it's tactic of neutralizing the scorpion's tail was genius. Although probably not a conscious decision on the wasp's part.
Animal Rights opinion: Yeah, I think it's pretty cruel, just because they're insects doesn't make it any different.
Had to post for the inside joke factor.

I never thought that insects have animal rights. They are mass murdered all the time. :medusachow:

This is sick as fuck....
It obvious the japanese hornet would win, they are very nasty guys.
Hopefully the makers of this shit stand on a nest or have a scorpion in there shoe one morning.
Pricks.

Putting two animals in an unnatural situation and having them fight to the death for entertainment is sick. It doesn't matter how neurologically complex the animals are, it's still unnecessary and sick. Look at that scorpion. The maker(s) of this video put it in a situation in which it faced an enemy that was far more aggressive and energetic than itself, with no chance of escape. Out in the wild, it could have at least run and hid. Pointless and cruel.

Yea... I couldn't believe I felt sorry for a pair of bugs, but it happened. Let it loose or squish it, no need to make a spectacle like that...
