Here is something I am working on for my demo talk at the Ottawa International Animation Festival. C&C are very welcome! Enjoy.

Looks nice 'n stylish, how did you do the background?
It's very funny looking 'n all, but I've got some criticism, that is totally subjective, like the right hand of the big guy looks abit strange, and his coat seem to be only hanging on his right shoulder cos' i can't see anything of it on his left. Keep up the good work. Have fun.

Nice style...i always love to see cartoonish artwork over here...

But you should be careful with overlapping...of course it's an important element in composition, but there are some issues on some areas:

- kid's gun's top is exactly where the hat is. Nothing wrong with that in common, but in this case the colors of the hat and the gun are too similar, besides the hat is very thin in this area, it looks as if both elements were one shape. I would recommend to lower the gun (without overlapping), or at least raise it so it sticks out of the hats shape...

- The outlines of Cowboy's finger are on the same level as the belt's outline...not good...

The colors are not balanced as kbg_Fiske and Mad Giraffe mentioned...especially the flashy green on the soother and the belt is annoying...

Nevertheless nice work!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I agree on the colors 100%, being color blind stinks. They look great to me, but everyone I shows says the same as you guys.

kbg_Fiske...This was done all in Painter 8. I am giving a demo at the Ottawa Student Animation Festival about using Painter 8 in the animation process.

color blind

For real...Not completly..I just have a very hard time with hues and I am missing a shade of pink.

Did it all in Painter 8. Just sketched them in on one layer and painted ontop of them.

Still trying to iron out the design of the kid. Just to let you all in on the joke...The Kid is acually a 36 year old midget that every just treats like a baby. So needless to say he is a little angry.
