Hi,

I'm guessing you have Painter Essentials 3.

First read Help Topics accessible via the Painter Essentials 3 Help menu.

Then go to my PixelAlley website and you'll find links to all Painter IX and Painter X newsletter issues, The Painter Canvas, from October 2004, through November 2007. In them, you'll find some tutorials for Painter Essentials 3.

In the right column on the PixelAlley home page, click the two links named:

Links to All Issues
Painter IX Newsletter,
The Painter Canvas,
Tutorials, and Courseware

Links to All Issues
Painter X Newsletter,
The Painter Canvas,
Tutorials, and Courseware

I believe Corel Painter Essentials 3 comes with training videos so you might want to read the information that came with the program explaining what's included and contact Corel if you don't find the answer.

In the meantime, here are three free training videos at Lynda.com on this page (these may be the same videos that come with the program and you just need to access the others after following Corel's instructions):

Getting Started with Corel Painter Essentials 3

Here are a few more Painter Essentials 3 tutorials:

Auto-Painting in Painter Essentials 3, Part 1: creating paint effects from photographs, By Dave Nagel (http://corporatemedianews.digitalmedianet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=35873)

Spring Has Sprung with Corel Painter Essentials 3 (http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/painter/ig/Spring-Photo-Painting/)

If you find tutorials for Painter Essentials 4, they won't be helpful with Painter Essentials 3 as the program's interface and other features are new and different in the most recently released version.
