Please help me out
I really need a drawing table, but i cannot afford to buy something that turns out to be useless (now that i quit my day job)
so searching through one auction site i found this:

The starting price is 240 €. Legs are cast iron. Size is 70x120 cm. You can also change the hight and angle of the table.
So.. do you think it's worth to get it? Or should i try to find some other table? :S

It looks like a well-made table from what I can see, and if the drafting machine is included, it's a pretty good deal, I'm guessing. The cast base alone is nice to have--very stable and dependable. The top looks like it's in good shape. I personally prefer the "floating" machines with the two-piece arm, but that's just personal prefs. Ask if the blades are nicked or if they still have a good edge.
Have you compared prices for an all-new version with various art/engineering supply houses?
Have you looked into building your own and searching for a drafting machine alone on-line? It might come out a lot cheaper, and you could design it to fit your own requirements.

check craigslist. I bought my drawing table for 20 bucks on it, granted it's not fancy and it doesnt have rulers and stuff on it but it gets the job done of being a drawing table.

anyone know of a site that I could get some plans for a good drawing table that I can build myself... I mean what is a good sturdy design that will hold up?

That would depend on what you need it to do. A tilting drawing table is built differently to a fixed drawing table, and one with a built in lightdesk is built differently to both of those.
What you build also depends on your abilities with wood, if you have only basic woodworking skills you probably won't be quite ready to build an advanced design.
