mouse mode or tablet mode???

hi all. I just got my graphics tablet (!), a graphire2 4 x 6 (cheapest I could get). could someone please tell me which is best for painting, mouse mode or tablet mode? I find tablet mode quite strange, but I'm sure I'd get used to it...?

Tablet (or pen) mode, definately. Mouse mode is for use with the mouse tool, or when you use the stylus for "normal" (i.e., mouse-style) navigation. In pen or tablet mode, the proportions of the tablet area and the area of the screen will always match - closer to traditional media. It is pretty weird at first, I'll agree - I got used to it by using the stylus exclusively for about a week, instead of the mouse. Slow at first, but now I'm quite comfortable with it!
