Why don't I know this?

I am sitting here searching the threads trying to figure out how I get a preview image on my new threads? Why don't I know how to do this? What do I search for?

Give a guy a hint knowing he won't use the information for evil...

You have to attach the image in the very first post. Every time you will change the first attached image in the first post, you will have a new preview image. It doesn't have to be the same size as the previews, it will be croped to size.
