He looks like a dirty, no good varmit.

I dig the deep shadows and the implied goatee/beard he's god. I'm not sure about adding a background...if you do, you'd probably want to keep it real minimal and subdued so as not to destroy the mood.

this is a great start! I dig the way his jaw jolts out, and the lighting, as for backgrnd, hmm id keep it a dark one like a night seen or dark tavern :)
