Yeah, I don't do a ton of color. I'd like to work on that... But I'm mostly interested in design and emotion. Working up the patience for color can take awhile.
I like quick art. I even prefer sketches over other artists finished pieces. So much life in a simple sketch. It's astonishing.

It was pleasure meeting you and the peeps at the office yesterday. And the dinner was rather pleasant. Some of us went to Karaoke following dinner and stayed 'til 1am. The smoke got too much so I kept running out to get fresh air. We'd to catch a flight back to LA the next morning. Anyway, hope to git working with your peeps up north on da game. :D

I especially like the b/w Goblin series. The structures are solid. Keep it up, and stop camping (Battlefield 1942)...haha.

The bird people, figure studies and stegosaurus are wonderful. The clowns are terrifying however.

Is it supposed to be Horus or something? The loin-cloth in one sketch looked vaguely Egyptian.

really nice stuff,

i really like that your work is all across the board. you've got a really good visual language to work with and it shows, your line drawings are at the point that you really can convey the weight of the mass with just your differing lineweights, and thats a feat in itself, the life studies are really nice, though i'd like to see some of your longer life drawings esp. since you have such nice illus. work..

Hey! I just found this and i love it! Your creature concepts shows alot of anatomical intuition. People who do anthropomorphic designs by just smacking the animal head on a human body has always annoyed me, but the way youve designed those eagle people of yours works really well ( i especially like your approach to the legs)

I think Arena.net would be a great company to work for. Ive been keeping my eye on them and i think they have some great potential.

I finally got off my bum and started scanning and cleaning up my bristol boards. I'm planning on coloring these eventually. I pick a kind of creature and draw two 14x11 pages of em with a precise pilot pen. Each one I try to do in a different style. I go in with no pencil and it's kinda fun having to try so hard not to fuck it all up on one go. If I mess up I have to draw something to make it look intentional, and I messed up alot on some of the pages. Any place with alot of black or thick lines...that was probably a mess up at one point.

Mostly it's just a fun excercies in design with a goal at some point.

Witht he page of ladies I drew a bunch of random shapes then went back and made heads out of them. I really like excercises like that. Very fun to do. Especially if you play it with a friend.
