about an hour of color, just trying to lay down general values. im still relatively new to painter so if anyone has any critiques or advice please let me know

let me just first say that the art on your site is top notch. i love the picture of the guy playing peek-a-boo, self portrait?

now this pic is spot on. i was just checking out the original on artrenewal.com and can't really see a thing wrong, except his face on the original seems to have a little more reds in it? yours comes off as grey. gonna keep an eye on this one.

reworking the face a lot, so thats my poor excuse why he has a giraffe neck and a shrunken head.

The nose and mouth is most excellent. :D

I will try this someday, actually I did try it 8 years ago in school, with oil - it was very boring...
But this is an inspiration, keep it up! :D
