I was half expecting a blank page being honest :]
Anyways.. cool drawing.. I like the smoke being inhaled. Good job.

Actually, if the cigarette was being inhaled, then there wouldn't be any smoke coming out from the front of it. So keep either the smoke from the end of the cigarette, or the inhaling smoke. Personally, I'd keep the inhaling smoke and add a little glowing red to the tip. But that's just me. Do what you want.

Man, I wouldn't like to inhale an entire cigarette.
Anyway, the edge between the paper and the ash seems a bit too smooth. Try making it a bit more crumbled.

Hehe this is cool. I was expecting a blank white page too! Very nice, the fact that he's smoking a ciggy really adds a god quality to the piece. I would think about darkening the smoke that's "in" him maybe. Good work!

Update after comments
Thanks for all the nice replies and the usefull comments everyone :)
Changed the lighting on his left shoulder.
Added a shadow of the cigarette on his right shoulder.
Changed the smoke going upwards from the cig.
Added the shape of the inside of his mouth (smoke going over the tongue, behind the teeth, little smoke upwards to the nose, to the back of his throat and down to the lungs, lungs split at the hight of the chest, but that's outside the frame and behind his shirt :P )

first post, hi
this work is looking great, though it reminds me of Magritte:

was he an inspiration to do this particular piece, jeroentje?

Update and fixes look great ;) It really looks as if the smoke in his mouth is under his tongue, behind his teeth etc.

@Bralt:
Yep, I did do this with Magritte somewhere in the back of my head. Plus that horrible Chevy Chase movie ;)
