I love it man, it looks very early christian. I thought it was some religious picture until i saw the mop and i was thrown off by it.

Hope to see more in the same style.
Awesome colors btw.

I have to say that I like the background a lot more than the figure because of its painterly style. It kind of looks like there are some inconsistencies in the skin tone between the face and the hands, and it appears as if she is about to snap the broom in half with her right hand (partly because the broom is bending with the arc centered on the hand, and partly because its really, really thin). I would really recommend getting some reference for this painting, photo or otherwise. That would cure a lot of the problems with the figure, and would allow you to focus on the artistic style of the piece, perhaps giving her the same painterly style as the background. Also, instead of having a "glowy force-field" surrounding her, why not give her a golden halo like the Byzantine mosaics? Hope that helps, I see potential in this piece.
