WOTW 2 - The Mace

[Digital_Blacksmith]

A simple design, usually just a stick with something hard on the top. But it is also a very complex design, usually used with royalty and their scepters. This weapon is the Mace, a weapon that has been around since monkeys knew how to pick something up and use it to inflict harm on someone else. From the simplest designs of batons trench clubs, to the highly complex such as the scepters and warhammers.

Your challenge:
Create a mace. It can be any shape, size, material, or color. Just use your imagination and be more complex then a stick figure.

RULES:
Only one entree per contestant.

Do not use art stolen from other people or sites.

As this is a contest of weapons, the weapon must be the focal point in your artwork.

With that said, good luck to everyone, and do your best.

a mace consists of a strong, heavy wooden, metal-reinforced, or metal shaft, with a head made of stone, copper, bronze, iron or steel.

The mace was the first weapon made specifically for use against humans, rather than using hunting weapons to fight with.

Yeah, I know...But then again, ive seen maces of solid wood, stone, and metal, and they dont need to have separate head and shaft.

Oh, and FYI, the mace is not the first killing weapon, it is the first weapon in general alongside the spear. It was used for hunting as well.

some nice ideas comen through. iv got a pretty good idea for a mace (well i hope anywho) just need to fix my wacom, as the drivers iv got don't work for vista.

yeah and as for my idea, its used for riot control in the future (that is possible right?)

Damn, this is alot better then last weeks spear challenge. Alot more challengers, each piece original and good looking. So, good luck to everyone, this week is almost done! 3 more days to go, so get those pencils and imaginations going and lets see some smashy toys!

Ugh, I hate rendering when I got a raytrace in my model....takes hours to get it right! but I should have mine done by the night. Oh, and happy new years my fellow blacksmiths of the art world!

The Iron Bouquet

Every blacksmith goes through a test at the end of his training in the art of forging; creating a rose out of solid metal. This weapon is comprised of about 20 metal roses, each from the greatest blacksmiths known to man, including Masamune, Murasame, and Asaad Allah. Each rose has been hunted down and delicately painted to create a devastating and beautiful weapon utilizing each blacksmiths skills and training.

Wauw, I've seen concepts with some good background flavor, but this is a 10 out of 10! "The Iron Bouquet", sounds like a guildwarslike quest item.
(ok actually I'm thinking about Diablo 2, but guildwars would be more recognizable to you jive kids)
