Other people's sketchbooks are some of my favorite things to look at and I thought I would contribute some of my own sketches (such as they are). Hope you enjoy.
Comments, crits, tips and general encouragment are very welcome.

My last couple of pages;
(The farie type girl in the corner is from referance)
http://home.comcast.net/~bcrart/back.JPG
(the little sword men and sunglass guy are from ref)

A week or two old;

These little guys are all about two inches tall. I love tiny little doodles.

Just started learning digital.
Noodling in Painter;

One of my first attempts at digital coloring. Drawn and colored in Painter.

More from today and last night.

http://home.comcast.net/~bcrart/marker.JPG

D.S.G. contribution. Not very origional but I like Anubis.
http://home.comcast.net/~bcrart/anubis.jpg

This one is about two months old and is my attempt at using El Coro's tecnique. The background is all the left over colors because I'm cheap and didn't want to waste the ink.:D If you want to see a better artist use a similar tecnique on a similar subject head to rubygenesis's sketchbook.

Thanks everyone for the replies I realy appreciate it.

This is the only thing I managed to do today. I kicked up the contrast to make it a little more readable.
No ref used so feel free to blame all anatomy flaws on artistic license ;) .

If you think my stuff doesn't suck let me know.
You can also respond if you think my art only kind of sucks.

A try at ref in Painter. This is where I gave up on it for the night. Actual size.

I'm being unproductive so you get a quick fredflickstone (sort of) copy from me:rolleyes: .

damn dude. you have some sweet shit goin on here. i love the wolf drawing ans the marker chick right underneath that. that horse is really nice for me too. i like the cool feel of the robot on the orange back ground and the dude with the smiley face head has a real nice loose and expressive feel to it. i think that you should finish the painter reference. i also have a really good feeling about the frank miller fan art, it looks really damn cool. keep up all the good work man.

The one you named sidepose4.jpg has wonderfully rendered hair, you should really finish it. Also, the sketch of the wolve is great. These are just my favourites, the others are good, too.

Like yourself I love to browse through other peoples sketchbook and you´ve got a nice one, too.

I personally really like how you handle bold darks in your strict b/w drawings - one thing I´m never satisfied with. Good stuff and keep on posting!

Wow, thanks for the replies!
metaphysiks I'll try to finish up the Painter ref and Miho at some point I just have a short attention span so it takes me a while to get back to stuff.

metalwinds I never thought about getting into animation but I do have a tendancy to simplfy forms so I guess I can see it.

jester Glad you like the cross hatch stuff. I use ballpoint pen a lot to keep me from noodling details which is a huge problem for me when I use a pencil.

Fipse I usually handle bold darks by going back over a ballpoint or greytone drawing with a thick black marker. That way everything important is already done.

Been feeling profoundly uncreative the past few days. Did some ref.

A try at reflective armor.

.Cashmere Thanks!

roger I'm always trying to make my figures off center and give them movement. My success is hit or miss.

Robolus I tried to draw some Hogarth hands for you in appreciation for this comment but I usually don't have the patience for him and yesterday was no exeption. So I sketched a few Bridgman hands instead:p .

endregan Thanks. I've been trying to draw more than just the figure lately. Or at least put clothes on them:rolleyes: .

Just two today

Thanks again Cashmere! Glad you enjoy my figure stuff. Gotta get back to that.

Just one today. Decided to combine a color study w/ face practice. It was supposed to be a speed-paint type thing untill my nitpicky nature kicked in:rolleyes: .
Not a great likeness but that wasn't my primary goal so I'm OK with that.
Painter/Loaded pallette knife/ref used (obviously)

rubygenesis Faces are my bane. Glad my approch isn't suck:D .

steak-tron Glad you like.

Lukias I don't know anatomy as well as I would like but that what practice is for I guess.

I'm trying to unlearn a lot of bad habits I've taught myself over the years so lots of ref for a while...

Hi all.
Thanks behemot5, Robolus, xia, :D . It's nice to know you like my stuff.

rubygenesis The fox is ref. The colors were just too good to pass up. Not Photoshop though, all Painter.

Rusty I've noticed that we have a lot of our approch to figures in common. Hopefully I'll be as good as you at some point .

Just a couple quickies from tonight...
