Hi my name is Martin, and as in matter of fact, i need some help picking out a Drawing Tablet.

I'm having a real tough time deciding as i have no early experiences whatsoever with tablets.

What's the thing i should look for?

I'm also buying over the net, since this saves me a lot of money.

I'm not an pro and this is my first tablet, but i want it to be a good, durable and preferably ergonomic one :asspat:

My current funds are about 3k NOK (im stationed in norway btw, so to the CA'ers from norway: just wanted to say hi:hugsmile: )

3k nok is roughly 538,73 US dollars. Actually that's the exact amount

I've already looked on some Tablets
Im currently looking at the Wacom Intuos3 A4.

Oh and this tablet wil cost me 478 us dollars over ebay, including shipment which is 79 us dollars (ouch)
Home in norway it would have cost me about 4.5 k. which is almost tvice as much.

I've read a lot of positive feedbacks on this one.

CA, please tell me, is this the tablet i should invest my money in, or is there another alternative (preferably cheaper and just as good, if not better :$ ):yayca:

Greetings from the southern parts of Norway! ;)

I have a Wacom Intuos 3 A4 at home and an A5 at work.. I prefer the A5 because it doesn't take up all that much space and is much easier to have your way with. I'm gonna do a A5 at home next time.. So yeah, try to find a apple store, they usually have wacoms, and try it out for yourself.. Would be your safest bet. Speaking of it - If you're around Oslo you can probably buy my Wacom A4 for an insane cheap amount of cash! ;)

If you have a widescreen monitor, you may also want to consider the widescreen A5-wide tablet Wacom offers. It's cheaper than the A4, at least in the US, and easier to handle and will have less proportional issues.

Sound interesting :D
Too bad I'm living 1hour away from Trondheim :(

I have relatives there and since it's around Christmas, i should probably drag my lazy ass down there to thank them for Christmas presents, and then i could check out your offer at the same time hehe;)

say, how cheap exactly? :D

The review i read about the A4 said that it would be be best to combine it with a large screen, and i think have a fairly large one too so.. I have a 19" one.

I did actually consider that too.

I checked out some offers on ebay, and found an insane offer for a wide A4. Unfortunately they shipped to US only :wtf:, so that was a bummer :P
