COS,

Nice pieces. I like how loose and tight you can make your artwork. Damn nice. Reminds me of Adrian Smith of the WarHammer fame. But COS style:-)

Your work keeps getting better and better! Man, your edges and atmospheric depth work especially, are so much better than the work you were doing a year ago, even 6 months ago --- very cool to see such improvement... tho't Id mention it since we don't often see the improvement ourselves...

My fav. is the last one - great composition/anticipation of action you've got there.

I think you make some of the coolest greyscale paintings. The first one is really great. I like how you link the body actions with criss-cross intersections given this format.

I don't realy need to reiterate what everyone else has said but what the hell.
What they said;) .

Your greyscale stuff kicks all kind of ass.

just awesome. especially love the last one. it has so much life in it, it has little story to tell. not everyone can achieve that.

As usual very impressive .. always love seeing your work .. I'm not to keen on the angel one compared to the others, but it's still a fine rendering ..

Okay man, I do stuff for Fantasy Flight too.

So, on behalf of the other FFG artists, I'm going to have to officially ask you to quit making the rest of us look bad. Right now!

Your stuff kicks too much ass. Excuse me while I go drown myself in self pity  ;)

cos
September 26th, 2003, 01:09 PM
ilkka - Thanks! Yeah Frazetta is definetely a big inspiration to me.

Hardcore - Calls Hardcore an ambulance..

MANTICROSS/Vince.vda³/ MrMojo/Bboy Waldo - Thanks alot!

Mcotie - Hey thanks for the kind words! I don't think we've been printed together till now. It'll be awesome to check your stuff out, always love your work!

Nordstrand, T - Thanks, saw some interior pieces you did on another forum, loved 'em.

t y l e r - Haha, thanks alot, glad you liked 'em. Great gallery coming up on ur site btw, look forward to seeing more!

Pencil Soldier - Thanks, not sure what u mean by rendering process tho?

killer_gym_sox / Loga4 / metalwinds / Lukias - Thanks for the kind words!

Kaylon - Thanks, the angel pic was trying a different style really, abit more textury/experimental. Not my usual approach but I will try developing it some more.

Ant4d / morbidhumor - Thanks!

ShawnYe - Thanks, the crisscrossing element was something I picked in a tutorial on dynamic composition at one stage. Frazetta was awesome at this stuff I think.

WaylanderX / davi / 3bleadpencil / Signature / ClocktowerArtworks - Thanks alot guys :)

prismacolor - Always working harder to improve some element in my work, happy to hear somethings showing! Thankyou!

Bomba - Cheers dude, try to capture the balance of loose and tight in my stuff. Haven't heard of Adrian Smith actually, not been big into the WarHammer stuff. Am a fan of the GW style tho!

WildSpruceMoose / J Bradford / SmilingDemon / behemot5 - Thanks!

Frost - Hey thanks! Been a while, always good to hear from you.

AmadorL - Should be dropping you some stuff soon :)

Foster - Always great to get your feedback, appreciated!

Marko Djurdjevic - My legs? Nah haven't seen them for a while, they sit somewhere trapped under a desk where my pc sits ;) glad you liked them mate.

Holy kakamoley!. What strikes me about this style is that it has a timeless quality to it. That's a hard thing to achieve I think. Amazing.

These are so deft and luscious. THey have just the right amount of detail, all the textures are spot on, and I LOVE the way things come out of the mist. You've got your digital works looking so tactile, I love looking at these.
Cheers.

beautiful work, totally impressed with the contrast levels you were able to achieve...do have one crit...(though this may be based more on my monitor and not your original)...the axe carried by the warrior in the 3rd picture appears to blend into the shadow, I had to look for a weapon in order to see the axe blade...maybe a different shade of grey to make it pop from the shadow?

Excellent stuff Cos. I remember seeing some colored fantasy paitnings you did (I think it was commissions) which blew me away seeing the great improvements you've had. And this now just blewed me away. I love the way you've done the values and contrasts in these. It feels good to be a bit more active om forums again, so I get the chance to tell people like you how much I've enjoyed lurking around watching the great work and the progression

SmellyBug - Thankyou very much!

Kress - Ahh thanks man, I appreciate it. Hope to see you post more often!

Jinxter - Thanks alot, I agree the axe could have been lit in an area to pop it more from the shadows, or maybe the rim of the blade. I didn't really get time to tighten all edges with all of them, so there will be areas that could have had some tweaks.

pstraub / jlo - Thankyou!

Joachim - Hey Joachim, thanks for your kind words man. Your work has always been inspirational since I first saw it, you've always had amazing brush control and sense of colour and value in your paintings, along with a great loose raw sketchyness, really not easy to achieve without being a natural I think. I do hope to see you keep posting!

Lightly Toasted - Thanks for the compliment! Jon's artwork has inspired me no end, no doubt there will be influences in my work from him.

Jezebel - Hey Jez, thanks alot :) U should post your stuff, I'll be glad to see them!
