Hey Whats up all?
This here is a painting of Jill Scott, yeah i know its not a concept piece but its really my first attempt with painting since i was about 7 years old or sumthin. When I first started to take my art seriously which was about when i was 15, I was really focusing on just shading and stuff you know and knowing the human body and stuff welp everyday work from 15 to 16 really paid off i learned like good technics and all but i got lazy when i was 16 but still drew everyday, but nothing but doodles is what you would see from me. Anyways that whole time i just never messed around with paint but during that time i have read up on technics and diffrent color theroies and im just now at the age of 17 using those. you might look at it and say it sucks but i think its pretty good i mean since it is kinda my first i guess, but anyways now im like freakin hooked on gettin my paintin skills better, shoot now im hooked on gettin my artwork better not just painting not just penciling but all around man. I need more studying and lots more practice. anyways check the picture out and i would really like some suggestions on how i can improve my painting and my thoughts on color...i know about cool and warm colors and i know that when you want to add a shadow somewhere on lets say a redish orange object its good to add a little bit of cool color, such as blue or green to the red to darken the color so you can make the shadow...or you can just add black but yeah....i guess i really dont know what im talking about or what im asking. just tell me what i need to do folks. thanks
