This work was originally for a school work, but I decided to carry it further. It must be the school work that I most worked on ever. 25 hours or so, I didn't count really.

Don't worry man, the weekend is off and i'm back to comment.
I like the idea of the cameleons which follows the environment color.I'm not a biologist but the cameleon head doesn't like a cameleon head.I don't like the back (colonne vertébrale si tu parles français, cousin quebecois). It looks like you've cut it while it was bigger.
The background is a bit flat to me.

I think that is a nice work and deserve many more comments.
Comment machine is a strange beast, my advice is to don't concern too much and don't give it too importance.
About the work, I see a great improovement from last one I see (the killer). The concept is pretty evocative and peaceful. I dig the colors and I like the chamaleon texture. Really nice how his spots tie whit the background color areas.
The body shapes works well on tail and bottom part, but head needs more work. The dorsal crest needs shading, whithout shades the entire body seems a cutted piece from background (hope you understand what I mean whit this orrible english...).
I agree whit Spookybabydoll when he said that background seems flat. Try to add depth, details and, maybe, textures. There is some really sharp edges.
Just my two cents, man.
Keep posting!
Cheers

Well, shoot, I like it. The color is excellent, and the texture on the chameleon makes him pop out nicely.

ICH: thanks for your feedback, you know, I agree with pretty much everything you said. Had I not been that fed up of this work in the end, I would have worked on it a lot more. It's kinda *unfinished*... but overall I'm satisfied. Thanks again !
Stoat : Thanks !
