Wacom Pen Issues

I currently own a Intuos2 Wacom tablet but I've somehow killed (overused) the pen. I need to find a new one but I'm not sure where to start.

The biggest problem I'm facing is if I should get a Intuos3 Pen. I don't know if it's compatible with the older version. Then there are different types of pens such as classic, grip, and airbrush.

Any ideas?

From Wacom Europe GmbH:

"Intuos3 input devices are not compatible to Intuos2 pen tablets and vice versa."

So I would recommend against pursuing the wacom 3 pen range. You should still be able to buy new intuos 2 pens, but you'll have to ascertain regional availability. Look under 'product and price list' on your regional wacom site.
