Very good studies. You have a really solid industrial design streak we are going to have to break but otherwise you understand surface and dimensionality very well. I want to see more of the cracked nasty holes in the wall. More shading.

Next assignment.

Spray paint on metal.
Scorch mark.
Bullet lodged in metal.
Ripped car fender (torn jagged metal)
Stained battered cloth
Leather bunched up
A rusty bolt
A gapping bleeding wound (ax inflicted)

Some real difficult ones in here. Incorporate other elements if you see fit, such as characters or weapons of other environmental stuff. Stay loose, stay fresh, use pencil and take advantage of that non-orthographic scratchy line. It will do a lot of the work for you.

And use lots and lots of reference. Please, for your own sanity use reference.

Hey jim,

Sorry about not posting in two weeks, I was in Italy and I forgot to let you know ahead of time...

I think drawing with a pencil and getting loose is going to be healthy for you. You can see spray painted metal on the right outside shoulder of the orc. Just find a picture of spray paint and draw it. I mean source photo is hugely important.

I am going to close down this thread if I don't hear from you in a while jim.
