Hello, all. This is my Bronze Medusa concept. It's sort of a glorified media study. I'm experimenting with a new method for me. It's watercolor with graphite and digital painting on top.
I know this piece has problems, but I want it to be good.
The lower half hasn't really been touched digitally yet. Also, I know the lighting is currently ambiguous at best and I intend to work on that.
Any c&c would be appreciated. Thanks for your time! :)

here's a small detail update. this piece is going very slowly for me because the technique is new. more color has been added for definition. reds in the shadows and cool reflected blue light..also details have been tightened up a bit. i know there's still much work ahead.
i hope i'm getting somewhere with this...:)

Lookin' pretty good to me. You seem to have your own checklist of what you'd like to change to it, and I really don't have any more to add to it at this stage. love the concept. And I love the goggles. I've recently discovered I have a thing for goggles..I need to get a pair so I can make photorefs with goggles.
I won't hijak your thread, but I'm doing a cyber chick with goggles too. (I think I posted it here..don't remember). But I'm slow. :/
Anyways, just saw no comments, and I thought I'd at least say I dig where it's going. :)

I really like her dress thing :)
The colors are lovely too, I think your new method of coloring with mixed media is working splendidly.
Not much critiques from me really, excpet that I'd like to see some background development at this stage.. Pretty please? :)

hey, thanks for the kind words, guys. i knew that if i kept talking to myself, someone would talk back. :)
i'm glad to hear i'm not failing miserably. i will gladly consider more background development once i become more comfortable with the process. thanks again.
and goggles do rock!

I'm glad to see that the additions of reds to the shadows helped out, as well as the reflected blues. I think compared to the first version you showed me, it definitely stands out more, and better.
I can't wait to see this finished. :)
