hi All

Ok so I am about to start working transatlantically and need to go portable.

The question is Mac or Pc. I am guessing Mac?

But any advice on what is best to use would be great.
I am looking at 3d modelling and artwork as prime use.

Thanks

:)

I am somewhat biased, but I love my Macs and can't imagine trying to get work done on a PC. (yes, I own one and guess what...it just sits there until I feel like playing a game, which IMO is what they do best)

If you have the dough, get the 17 inch powerbook. Primo stuff.

and Mac OS X is a thing of beauty.

my 2¢

I don't know what computer you should get, but the Lounge would be a more appropriate place for a thread like this ;)

Since you said 3d and 2d, stick with the PC platform. Way more graphics programs are available on PC compared to Mac.

So what's your budget?

budget would be th 17" Powerbook at most.
Figuring Mac will be choice due to compatability with the rest of the industry, just a shame that I only have the pc programs at the moment!!
Interms of which thread etc - why is everyone so picky, the end of this thread title is 'help'
Want to put me somewhere else please do (just tell me where)

Funny thing.
Someone just pointed out that Autocad is only available on PC.
So there's that answer then!!

Love the Mac adverts by the way. Thanks Dark
